This enables us to make just about any type of cedar products that you can imagine. We incur very low overhead as we process much of the lumber at the Mill and employ local home-industry craftsmen.

Montana Cedar Works
Construction
What we do at Montana Cedar - make our products truly outstanding using commercially planed, premium quality, repurposed Cedar. It is kiln dried then stored and aged to its perfect dryness.
We offer 2 finishes - Our fine-finished planters are second to none. We cut to finished widths with precision table saws using fine blades, followed by finish planers, and re-plane for the finest of all finishes. Our commercial-finish is less expensive than the fine-finish and meets our strict quality control.
Our planters are the longest lasting planters money can buy. Made with premium cedar using up to 1" thick boards (thicker upon request). Standing planter legs are made with either 4 x 4's or 2 2 x 4's, screwed together at an angle on each corner. We make the strongest, heaviest and best planters in any price range.
Our less expensive planters are made with the same quality kiln dried wood. They are slightly thinner and lighter than our premium planters but are still the heavyweight champs in their class font.

Fasteners
Planter fastening is as important as the wood. Montana Cedar Works products are set apart from other products because we use grade 305 stainless steel and ceramic-bonded screws, which are designed for cedar and redwood. The acid in Cedar and redwood will eat through plain steel screws and nails. Our customers are worth the extra cost.
